GI-MAP™ – Uncover the
underlying cause of chronic illness.

Modern technology has given us a number of insights into the root causes of chronic illness. Nowhere has this insight been more revolutionary and impactful than in the human gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The GI tract is home to an entire ecosystem of microorganisms (known as the microbiome), living in a symbiotic relationship with its host. These microorganisms do far more than just reside within us – they are essential for life and health. They are responsible for many important functions such as vitamin synthesis, hormone production, immune system regulation, and communication with the neurological systems of the body. More than ever before, medical research has established a link between health benefits or disease risks brought about by these microorganisms that inhabit the human body.

NEW technology

Over the past decade, advances in PCR technology (a way of testing DNA) have given us the tools to assess the GI microbiome in a more comprehensive and precise way. As we are more accurately able to assess each individual’s microbiome, we have come to a clearer understanding of the relationship between an unhealthy microbiome (dysbiosis) and the link to many chronic illnesses that exist systemically (outside of the GI tract).

NEW understanding

Diagnostic Solutions uses latest and most
advanced DNA testing to assess:

  • Levels of healthy bacteria
  • Pathogenic bacteria
  • Parasites
  • Yeast
  • Viruses

And advanced metabolic testing for:

  • Inflammation
  • Immune function
  • Digestion and absorption

NEW hope

Now, as clinicians are accurately able to assess the gastrointestinal microbiome and metabolic imbalances, patients are finding solutions to a myriad of chronic illnesses – ranging from intestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome to autoimmune diseases such arthritis and fibromyalgia. Talk to your doctor about the GI-MAP and begin your journey to achieving optimal health today!

About the GI-MAP Stool Test:

The gut microbiome plays a very important role in mediating the impact the food we eat has on our overall health from digestion to immunity to neurological function. Assessing gut health and developing a personalized treatment plan with Nava’s Nutritionists and Physicians can help you uncover the root cause of chronic illness and start your journey to feeling better once and for all.

The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) uses quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to identify the DNA of the microbes that live in your GI tract including parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more1. This is the best and most accurate way to detect and quantify clinically-relevant organisms in the stool. The results of your GI-MAP stool test will be interpreted by your Nava Nutritionist who you will work side by side with to create a personalized treatment protocol that may include dietary and lifestyle changes, targeted supplementation, and potentially prescribed medications if necessary. The goal of the treatment plan will be to address any gut dysfunction present based on gut infections or imbalances.

It is important to retest after you have completed your personalized treatment protocol to validate its efficacy and if any other problem areas are present. Nava will offer a special retest discount to clients who elect to retest after treatment has been completed.
